Intro
An intensive course for teachers, youth leaders and educators in all disciplines.
This one-week, hands-on course immerses participants in creative theory and practical techniques to craft compelling stories and films. Participants will explore Aristotle’s model of tragedy, develop scriptwriting skills, and learn to create fiction, documentary, or experimental projects.
OBJECTIVES
By the end of the course, participants will be equipped to apply these techniques in educational or professional settings, using storytelling as a powerful tool across all disciplines, enhancing both teaching and workplace activities.
MODULES AND COURSE SCHEDULE
Each day combines a theoretical talk with a practical workshop, allowing participants to immediately apply concepts discussed in our sessions. Daily notes and handouts will support each module. Participants will also have dedicated time to develop their own materials during workshop sessions.
Module 1 – Story and Creativity: An introductory seminar, followed by hands-on exercises exploring story foundations and creativity.
Module 2 – Scriptwriting: Drawing on Aristotle’s model and the theories of Campbell and Vogler, participants learn techniques for crafting compelling scripts, alongside practical tools—including AI—to support and enhance the creative process.
Module 3 – From Script to Production Planning: Participants build on earlier sessions to shape their individual stories, followed by learning how to plan and prepare effectively for the filming process.
Module 4 – Filming with Mobile Phones: Technical training for mobile filmmaking, with participants beginning to shoot their films on location.
Module 5 – Editing a Film: A focus on film editing, followed by screenings and group discussions.
Follow-up:
Attendees will receive handouts, self-evaluation forms, and feedback forms to assess the course experience. Social networking platforms will be set up to maintain connections after the course, enabling continued discussions and feedback exchange on how the skills learned are being applied in practice. Additional modules focusing on subject- or issue-specific topics are available and can be delivered at a later date or through webinars.

Corfu is renowned for its long tradition and rich culture which is unlike any other Greek island. In 2007, the city’s old city was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Here you will also discover a compact world of beautiful beaches and stunning mountain peaks, ancient ruins and picturesque villages. There is something for everyone on the island, whether you prefer peace and quiet or a lively cosmopolitan destination.
